The Department of Animal Science in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences, with 34 faculty members teaching more than 400 undergraduate students, offers courses in animal nutrition, biology, reproduction, welfare, ethics, genetics and biotechnology. Courses are also offered in meat science, sales and marketing and food animal production system management. The Department of Animal Science is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellence in research, teaching, and extension programs.
The Department of Animal Science is expected to submit its Writing Plan to the Campus Writing Board in Spring 2021. Once the Plan is approved and implementation has begun, further updates will be posted.
